You heard lots of giggles as 86 girls, 2nd to 6th graders, attended the Custom Made Slumber Party. This was a great outreach opportunity since nearly a third of the girls are not members of our church. Our thanks to everyone who helped make this sleepover a success, especially Pastor Greg, who provided security and support during our overnight stay.
The VGBC Christmas Dessert Theater treated us to four wonderful performances on December 10 – 13, attended by over 800 people. The weekend of ministry required the services of over 150 people, each fulfilling their role in order to faithfully tell the story of God in Jesus coming to be with us. We hope you are encouraged to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and to move Jesus from the sidelines to center stage.
Temperatures were COLD but the fellowship was warm at the MOPS Christmas brunch. Pastor Greg brought a message of encouragement and was thanked for his many years of wisdom (it was his 40th birthday!). The office ladies helped judge the wonderful goodies and the children shared two songs with their appreciative audience.
Families brought their shoe boxes and cartons flowed in from relay centers. Our hardworking volunteers processed 23,553 shoe boxes. Thank you for sharing God's love and touching the lives of these children!
We would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all who came out to support the 3rd Annual Fall Craft Show and Silent Auction. We had 59 vendors in attendance and over $2700 was raised to support the Youth Ministries. We really appreciate all who gave of themselves in every capacity to make this event a success!
The worship center was transformed into a Strong Tower for the Children’s Choir Kick-off. Children and parents took a walk through the website, and then enjoyed fun and games before a brief meeting with their teachers. You can still register your child and join the fun!
